MOSCOW, Jun 9 (PRIME) -- Russian President Vladimir Putin has not expressed his opinion about the idea to restrict introduce a threshold on earnings of executives of state-run companies, spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters on Tuesday.
"No, he did not react to this idea … It has been discussed for many years and the president explains his approach by clear logic: we are talking about many companies of a global level, where top executives cannot earn less than the international market level because foreign experts work in many companies as well, and this is justified," he said.
Business daily Kommersant reported on Monday that the government was working on a plan to cap the combined annual earnings of executives of state companies by three minimum wages of a prime minister, or 30 million rubles per year, unless the president approves otherwise.
